Finex Paddle Blenders have counter rotating paddle action representing an entirely new generation in mixing technology. They provide complete homogeneity with mix variance that is less than 1% in seconds rather than minutes. It also prevents a re-segregation if mixing cycles are continued beyond completion even when the particles are of widely different sizes and density.

In this design the powder is discharged in bulk through large doors (full bottom opening) at the bottom of the mixing chamber for very quick discharge and elimination of re-segregation. This design has slow counter rotating paddles which create a fluidized “zero gravity” zone. In this zone all particles are in constant random motion.

Liquid addition can be done directly through spray nozzles mounted directly above the mixing chamber. The mixing cycle time is reduced to seconds and by a fast discharge the mixer can provide a through put/per hour of up to 60 times the rated capacity. The short cycle time and slow paddle speed means that even the most fragile material can be handled without mechanical or frictional induced heat damage.

Finex offers a wide range of mixers from 20 liters to 5000 liters cubic feet using 1 HP to 75 HP power and are fabricated in mild steel or stainless steel.

Applications

• The paddle design is normally applied when friable materials are being blended and when batches as small as 15% of the total capacity are going to be mixed in one blender.
• Paddle Blender agitators are ideally suited for applications including feed and grain, non-directional liquid or slurry mixes, soap pellets, particulates, abrasive products, pastes, filter cakes, and fragile/friable products.
